My Documentary MUSIC OF THE HEARTH is now streaming for free on YouTube!!!
In the summer of 2018, I went on tour with Luke Concannon, british singer-songwriter to create promotional and music videos. On top of that and with all the footage collected, there was the possibility to make a documentary on House Concerts. That’s how Music of the Hearth came about.
I also filmed a songwriting retreat in Birmingham with him and John Parker, from Nizlopi. The result is a testimonial video of the weekend you can see below, and a few live recorded video of the intimate concert Nizlopi gave on the first night.
Just before the first lockdown in march 2020, when I was still living in France, I shot the one hour documentary Contraint à Pénétrer for director Camille Carlier. This marked our fourth collaboration after our 2017 short doc Fragrance de Labeur (Scent of Labor)and the music videos she directed for Cellie Kha : Wanda and A Petits Pas.
I have also been working with the music school Polynotes and made a film about their Music in real life program. Children from different background learn music to play for real life social occasions : Wedding march, lullabies, waiting music, drinking songs…
